Do you remember that movie, Groundhog Day, where each day was the same, over and over and over...
That's how I felt yesterday. Took the girls to school. Except, instead of going to the mall, I came home and tried to tackle our small mountain of laundry, and then did the whole rotting in line at the school to pick up the girls...
Home for a quick snack.
Then did a quick cardio workout.. also known as, getting the girls in all their snow gear.
And back outside to make a snowman.
RB was home a bit earlier because the washing machine repair guy was coming (nothing makes me feel older than a repair guy coming and fix an appliance, why is that?) and he knows how much I dislike having to write checks, (and dealing with broken anything), so he came to take care of that. Wow, longest sentence ever.
So, since he was here... we asked him to help us move our snowman base closer to the house and make him meaner, and tougher to scare off any potential snowman kickers.
I am so happy to report that our rough, tough snowman survived the night.
I am not happy to report that all three girls were up earlier than they should have been... but it was out of concern for our snowman because they wanted to know how he was.
While it still stings that someone would come on our lawn, and destroy something of ours, there is some good to be found. All three girls agreed they would never hurt someone else's snow project, whether it be a snowman, or a snow fort, or whatever. And, of course, a second day playing outside together after school, enjoying a beautiful day, when we probably wouldn't have gone out two days in a row because (and this is going to sound terrible)... of all the mess it makes.
Thanks for all the funny comments, emails and text messages yesterday. My favorite comment was on FB when a certain Great Aunt suggested a little water on the snowman, so he ices over... just in case Kicky McKickerson comes back, he'll at least leave with a sore foot. Ha!
