Don't be jealous of the head lamp.... Ha!
It was kinda fun to use, although if you had it positioned a certain way, it made you feel a little dizzy with the light moving all over the sidewalk... so I put it up and just looked down when I was worried about ice. And then when I looked down, all my snot would run out. I was a hot mess. And by hot, I mean, a frozen hot mess. No one ever described running as glamorous.
Average pace of 9:47
Balmy 21 degrees, with a wind that was just strong enough to re-freeze my boogers and make me think I will never take a deep breath again.
I didn't slip on any refreezing ice... but I did trip over a piece of frozen mud. Thankfully my running partner was right next to me and he caught me before I took us both down - Ha!
(Sorry for the 'deer in the headlights' picture... I think the combination of how frozen I was and the flash being on...caught me by surprise.)
